When Gordon places it, the Snark chases opponents down and eats at them until it eventually explodes. The Snark is an alien bug that Gordon can use as a weapon. In Super Smash Bros it would work similarly to Mewtwo’s up special. Gordon uses the displacer cannon from Half-Life Opposing Force The Displacer Cannon is a weapon Adrian Shephard finds during his time at Black Mesa, it teleports him to the border world Xen where players can get ammo or health. However, Gordon can only use five grenades per stock. There would be a little hud icon to show how much Tau particle he has like in Half-Life. If the player taps the special button he’ll use one of his beams and if the player holds the button down he’ll use two. Gordon pulls out the Tau Cannon from Half-Life and can shoot 6 Tau particle beams at a time before he has to wait for it to recharge. This would have the same range as Young Link’s Hookshot but cannot grab onto ledges. To keep it brief I’ll just detail the specials however the standard attacks would mostly use the crowbar while the grab is unique, utilising the Gravity Gun for a ranged effect. If he was to have the same restrictions with weapons that Snake had you could go for the more unique weapons of the Half-Life games. To start off I think his move set should have weapons from across the series. would be the main hero of every game except the Half-Life expansions – Doctor Gordon Freeman himself. The obvious pick for a Half-Life character in Super Smash Bros. Unlike most games of its time, Half-Life told its story through scripted conversations that the player could move around in. After an experiment gone wrong in the Black Mesa research facility, he finds himself fighting through aliens and the Military who are trying to cover up the incident, he finds himself having to go to “The lambda complex” to try and cut off the aliens way of invading Earth. The story is shown through the perspective of one, Gordon Freeman. Half-Life had many expansions, sequels and even mods that went on to become full games (e.g Counter-Strike). Half-Life is a first-person shooter developed by Valve Corporation, it was the first game they ever released and it was met with great praise when it came out in 1998. Today I will be talking about one such franchise that I think would be great in smash, Half-Life. In Freedom Planet, Milla wears a sleeveless, beige unitard-like outfit with a bright green tag and shows off a green outfit with white stripes underneath (possibly a swimsuit or a leotard). Milla is a young, female hush basset puppy with ivory-white fur, bushy orange hair, bright green eyes and large ears with a set of four bright green discs on them (possibly a genetic trait from her alchemy powers). Soon, she will use her skills, old and new, in service of the Royal Magister, who has recruited Team Lilac to help defend Shang Tu from the remnants of Brevon's army, as well as discovering the origin of a new threat. Milla didn't know this at the time, but since she wanted to stay close to her newfound friends, she joins Lilac & Carol, and together, the newly formed Team Lilac set out to save Avalice from the brink of civil war.įollowing a 3-year time skip, Milla has grown more independent and lives in her own chemistry lab, where she trains her alchemy powers and makes potions to help her friends on their adventures. Later that night, Milla overhears Lilac & Carol talking to Torque, offering to help him complete his mission, which was to prevent Lord Brevon from stealing the Kingdom Stone for his galactic conquest. Shortly after saving Carol, who was trapped in a cave following their fight with the Mantalith, she befriends her and Lilac, who invites her to live with them in their treehouse. Stumpy near the ancient temple, Milla sees Lilac chasing after a Shang Mu truck, and follows her with the intent of meeting a dragon. To cope with her loneliness, she carves a face into a tree stump and named it " Mr. She is an orphan hush basset puppy who possesses the power of alchemy, as well as a love for chemistry and companionship.īefore she met Lilac & Carol, Milla lived alone in the woods of the Valley Region, with the whereabouts of her parents unknown. In the sequel, Milla gains new attacks, including a melee attack and a ranged attack. On Schrump Stage, Milla will have seven petals instead of four.Only fight Absolution and Brevon's Power Suit.Skipping the boss of the third stage of Final Dreadnought.Lord Brevon not disabling the oxygen on the second stage of Final Dreadnought.Defeating only 15 enemies on Trap Hideout before fighting Spade. If playing as Milla, the game makes some parts easier, such as:.Milla's shield can block and/or deflect most of the projectiles, including from bosses such as Spade, Syntax, Dail, Serpentine, Neera and Lord Brevon's power suit. While being slower, Milla can flutter in the air for few seconds.Milla Basset's designs are good, including her mutant form.Granted, Carol still lives, but that's pretty uncanny. The thing reverses if playing as Milla: Instead of fighting a boss, Carol is shown to be unconscious, after being attacked by Lord Brevon.Luckily, she survives, once the final boss is defeated. And after defeating her, she falls into a sort of death-like coma.Even worse, after some damage, she loses one eye. Not to mention, her mutated form is extremely creepy. The start of Milla's boss fight is one of the most terrifying moments on the game: Lord Brevon stabs Milla as Lilac/Carol are about to go near him, and when the latters goes near her, she shows red eyes, and transforms. If playing as Lilac or Carol, she's the boss of the third stage of Final Dreadnought. Also, while Milla Basset will carry the phantom cube or another item, she will not be able to flutter in the air.Her Phantom Cube requires to be fully charged, in order to use it.Compared to the other two characters, she's slower. No melee attacks: to be able to damage enemies, you need to either charge a Phantom Cube, or use the shield attack.Unlike Sash Lilac and Carol Tea, who has seven health petals, Milla Basset will always start with 4 health petals, which makes her more fragile. Before playing as her, you have to complete Relic Maze as either Lilac or Carol. She may be cute and have a different playstyle, but unfortunately, she has some flaws as well. How Do Fish Know When to Sleep?įish are like most animals and have an internal clock that lets them know when it is time to eat or sleep. Betta fish generally nestle into the gravel at the bottom of the fish tank. Goldfish prefer to sleep near aquarium decorations. Some species of fish make their own kind of sleeping bag or cocoon out of mucus. Most likely, they’re just sleeping unless other tell-tale signs appear. If you are new to fishkeeping, the lack of motion while fish sleep may scare you into thinking they are hurt or dead. Other fish love to be on the bottom of the tank, while some fish go as far as to bury themselves under the sand.įish have sleep patterns just like humans do. When certain species of fish fall asleep, they will float along motionlessly on the surface of the tank. Where Do Fish Sleep?Įvery species of fish has a different location in the tank where it prefers to sleep. One of the easiest ways to tell if they are is asleep is to watch their gills, when fish sleep the gills will move slower than normal. Others choose to sleep in the middle of the water and will not even wake if you pick them up.ĭuring their time of sleep, they will be less responsive to any stimulus or may just ignore everything around them. Depending on the species of fish, they may want to sleep around rocks or other items on the bottom of your tank. Fish keep routines like other animals and certain species like to be either at the bottom of the tank or near the surface of the water. The easiest way to know if your fish are sleeping is to observe their behavior. The one thing fish have in common with all animals’ circadian rhythms is that when they sleep, their metabolism slows down, they can rest and heal. Except for sharks, fish do not close their eyes because nearly all fish lack eyelids. Most fish must have some sort of momentum while they sleep to have oxygen. People are used to seeing land animals lay down and close their when they sleep but fish don’t follow this pattern, even when they’re in their REM cycle. There is a common myth that aquarium ( or paludarium) fish do not sleep, this is because not every fish looks the same when they sleep. Living on land or in the water makes no difference. Is There Anything You Can Do to Make Sure Your Fish Sleeps Enough? So, Do Fish Sleep?Īlmost every animal sleeps. The bulk of the action in RE4 Remake falls into the 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' category, but there are still a few modernisations that players will have come to expect from this genre - ever since the original set the tone for that same genre 18 years ago. But having gone back to the 2005 iteration since completing the RE4 Remake, I can decisively say it has aged far more than you probably realise, and the Remake does an incredible job of capturing all of the details, moments and mechanics that matter, while bringing everything else up to a standard modern players will enjoy. It's that funny thing about remakes and remasters done right, the new and improved version tends to look exactly like the original does - in your head. In Resident Evil 4 Remake, large sections of the game - particularly in the earlier chapters - are essentially completely unchanged from the original, so much so that, scene to scene, I knew exactly which part of the 2005 game we were up to. In the Resident Evil 2 Remake, large sections of the RPD, as well as other memorable locations, were redesigned and reshuffled to work cohesively with the updated gameplay and to make sense in a more photoreal world. Note that capture wasn't allowed under the embargo for this review, so the footage is provided by Capcom. Manage cookie settings Here's a video version of Aoife's review, showing Resident Evil 4 Remake in action. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Resident Evil 4 Remake follows this formula and builds on it, displaying a confidence in both the original game's strengths and its own innovations to deliver something that feels at once intimately familiar to old fans and excitingly fresh for newcomers. After two and three, we more or less know what to expect from Capcom's Remakes - rebuilt from scratch to a high standard, they've generally excelled at capturing the spirit and style of the original games, keeping what works and modernising what doesn't while utilising the RE engine to make gore glisten and chiaroscuro of piles of trash pop.
The PHEV is a nice addition to the range, but losing the seven-seat option means it loses one of this car’s USPs, too.īut they very much do, helping keep this car right at the top of the class if it’s comfort and relaxation you’re after. What appears a light evolution of Land Rover’s (now former) best-seller is actually a bit of a tech revolution, with some properly functioning media systems up front and more forward-thinking architecture beneath.įor now, the mild-hybrid tech really is mild, and you’ll likely plump for the best diesel you can afford and barely notice the little nibbles of electric power that help smooth out the driving process. If it’s seven seats you're after on a bit of a budget, try the Skoda Kodiaq or Hyundai Santa Fe instead. Then you’ve also got the likes of the Volvo XC60, Jaguar F-Pace and Alfa Romeo Stelvio competing for the posh/upmarket dollar. The competition is pretty fierce, with the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC all featuring on the list of rivals. It’s sold as a rock-crawling aid, but back here in the real world, width restrictors have suddenly become a lot less stressful… What’s it up against? Namely ‘Ground View’, which relays yet more camera feeds to effectively let you see through the bonnet to beneath the car. Before you argue they’re a little wasted, some of it will actually prove useful away from those hypothetical green lanes. Not to mention a vast array of off-road gubbins. The rear-view mirror now (optionally) relays a camera feed – to double your field of vision behind – while there’s Android Auto and Apple CarPlay housed within Jaguar Land Rover’s latest Pivo Pro media setup. The update has also brought bigger cubby holes, more charging ports, cupholders for rearmost passengers and a plethora of technology for those up front. Though it’s worth swiftly pointing out that the P300e is exclusively a five-seater. But for an SUV of its footprint – 4.6m long, 1.9m wide, the same as a Ford Focus Estate – that’s an impressive amount of flexibility which’ll go down a treat on that cliched school run. As before, it’s described as a 5+2 seater in plain English, it’s optionally a seven-seat car with minimal boot space when you deploy its child-sized rear chairs. An electron is removed from the gaseous sodium to form a sodium cation. The third and fourth steps account for the electron transfer to form ions. Next, diatomic chlorine molecules dissociate into gaseous chlorine atoms. In the first step, solid-state sodium is converted into its gaseous form. The direct route represents the standard enthalpy of formation of NaCl from elemental sodium and chlorine. However, it can be calculated using Hess’s law in a hypothetical series of steps called the Born–Haber cycle, which represents the formation of an ionic compound from its constituent elements.įor example, the Born-Haber cycle for sodium chloride formation considers two alternate routes, one direct and another indirect. In a solid ionic compound, a large number of charged particles interact with each other making it difficult to determine the exact value of the lattice energy experimentally. The total energy associated with the formation or breakdown of a crystalline lattice into its gaseous constituents is called lattice energy. The resulting lattice structure is stabilized by decreasing the potential energy, which is released as heat, an exothermic reaction. But where is the energy coming from?Īccording to Coulomb’s law, cations and anions are attracted to each other by strong electrostatic forces into a solid array or lattice. However, when elemental sodium and chlorine react to form a solid sodium chloride crystal, it's a highly exothermic process. Formation of ionic bonds requires an electron transfer from a metal to a nonmetal atom - a process that is often endothermic. StoresĤ X AIM-9s (early versions), 4 X AIM-7 Sparrows and a centre line drop tank, plus the all-important pair of wing drop tanks complete the package. This is commonly a tricky area in F-4 kits and ZM has captured it perfectly. I’d be tempted to buy a set of resin cans from one of the aftermarket manufacturers and then you can have a complete model and display one or both General Electric J79s? Your call.įull intake trunking is provided that should avoid any issues when you look down into the intakes. I’ve really covered this above just to say that the engines are very well detailed and would look good mounted on a dolly next to your completed model or in a dio. Very impressive again, it’s all there on the detail front and these areas look impressively realistic on the completed model. This is a real highlight – everything is in there that you may want in an F-4 cockpit: detailed seats, instrument panels, sills, rudder pedals, control columns, canopy details and even the complex wiring you get on the rear decking and behind the pilot’s seats is pretty well represented and that’s impressive. The only problem is you only have one set of afterburner/reheat cans and this poses a challenge – it would have been better for ZM to simply add two sets of cans, that would have made life easier. You can build the engine and place it on a trolly cleverly made from sections of the sprue frame. This is one of those things that’s a bit odd though – not much point in detailing it, for it never to be seen again. Assembly is mostly conventional although you do have the option to include a detailed J-79 engine (or two). The parts are well formed and certainly accurately capture the look and shape of the Phantom II, I really can’t fault anything there. That back end under the tail has some incredible ribbing detail. Quality is astonishing, truly it is – just take a close look at the accompanying photos of the cockpit detail, engines and wheels as examples – really excellent raised and recessed details. The Zoukei-Mura F-4J Phantom II kit…Īs soon as you look into the box everything is perfectly packaged and there are many sprues with lots of perfectly detailed parts moulded in grey plastic. It’s worth noting that ZM produces a number of detail accessory sets available at extra cost: colour PE for the cockpit, metal undercarriage, weighted tyres, British F-47 No.74 “Tiger” Sqn decals etc. The good news that I can tell you is that our ZM F-4J is well underway and I think you’ll be in for a treat when it’s done, so keep an eye on SMN’s Aircraft-Build Now and What’s New for that. Take a look at this manufacturer’s website to see their ZM model completed – here. There’s also a full in-box review in Here Now of Academy F-4B kit. We’ve already completed a full build by Adam B of the new Academy F-4B kit (very similar to their ‘J’ kit) and you’ll find that in Aircraft-Finished Now under Academy. If the ‘Toom’ is your bag, then these are happy days indeed. I never really saw this one coming… with the relatively recent release of a new-tool F-4J from Academy, the fact that ZM have now released a state-of-the-art F-4J Phantom II as well means we are again spoilt for choice.
